Payments with the [Lightning Network](https://customersupport.xapo.com/en_us/what-is-the-lightning-network-HkIZwB7io) can be done on the Xapo Bank app by following a few simple steps. We only support payments with pre-defined invoiced amounts and up to US $1000 worth per transfer.

Step 1 - Tap on **Send**. 

Step 2 - Select **BTC.**

Step 3 - Scan the QR code\* or tap on **Enter BTC address manually** to paste the lightning invoice set of digits.

Step 4 - Review details and tap **Confirm**.

Step 5 - Authenticate transaction with app PIN or biometric.

\*Our QR code reader will automatically distinguish standard Bitcoin addresses from Lightning Network addresses.
